May 25, 2023

A group of College of Human Medicine graduates celebrating during commencement. On May 13, the Class of 2023 reunited at the MSU College of Human Medicine Commencement Ceremony after spending their third and fourth years of medical school in hospitals and clinics at the college’s statewide community campuses.

Dean Aron Sousa, MD, conferred degrees for 184 medical doctors at the Breslin Student Event Center. As graduates crossed the stage, many celebrated the moment with their children while others were hooded by their physician parents. The celebration included a keynote address from Mona Hanna-Attisha MD, MPH (CHM ’02), Associate Dean for Public Health and C.S. Mott Endowed Professor of Public Health, two military promotions and a marriage proposal
