 Associate Dean for AdministrationDr. Parker is the Associate Dean for Administration. She is responsible for implementation of the college’s strategic plan; space allocation; leads the human resources team; and, leads the operations team which includes development of new off-campus facilities, operational and security for existing off-campus facilities including three buildings in Grand Rapids, Michigan (Secchia Center, Grand Rapids Research Center and the Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building) and one in Flint, Michigan (Flint Campus Building), and renovations of on-campus facilities.

 517-353-7816Toya serves as the Human Resources Director for the College of Human Medicine, where she leads a team of HR professionals across the East Lansing and Grand Rapids (Secchia Center) campuses. In this role, Toya provides strategic guidance and support to faculty, academic and support staff, department chairs, directors, and administrators on a wide range of human resources matters, including employee relations, classification and compensation, performance management, recruitment, and policy interpretation. As the college’s HR liaison, Toya collaborates closely with university offices across campus and statewide, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and compliance with HR policies. She is the key MAU (Major Administrative Unit) leader for all human resources functions within the college. Toya holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Baker College, and a master's degree in human resources administration from Central Michigan University. She also earned the Certified Human Resources Specialist (CHRS) designation from Michigan State University. In her personal time, Toya enjoys traveling with her family, volunteering in her community, and spending time on the golf course.

 616-234-2699Colena has been with the College of Human Medicine since 2016. Colena provides human resources support for all college paid faculty and staff located in Grand Rapids. Her responsibilities include posting positions, serving on search committees and on-boarding all new employees; processing reappointments, reclassifications among other changes in appointments; cost distributions and various payroll functions; facilitating departures from the college; etc. Colena graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s in Human Resources with a Business Specialization.

 Human Resources ProfessionalAlicia is a Human Resources Professional at the College of Human Medicine’s East Lansing Campus. Alicia’s primary duties include posting positions, serving on search committees and helping onboard new employees. Alicia also assists with processing varies EBS HR personnel transactions such as reclassifications, pay changes, status changes, reappointments, and cost redistributions. Alicia Graduated form Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Human resources and a minor in Information Systems. On her free time, Alicia enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog Cooper.

Angela’s primary responsibilities are processing hiring and Human Resource processes of employment for On-Call/Temporary staff, MSU students and On-Call Faculty, which includes administering the PageUp posting process and other various HR related job duties. Angela has over 8 years of experience in Human Resources and is SHRM certified. In her free time, she enjoys reading and being outdoors with her family.

 616-234-2866Grace is a Human Resources Professional for the College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids. She started her journey with Michigan State University in October 2018. Grace’s primary responsibilities are coordinating the faculty appointment process for non-MSU-employed faculty. She collects faculty appointment applications, completes faculty appointments transactions, change of statues, and terminations. Along with the East Lansing human resources team, Grace is responsible for the coordination of the university’s annual mass update process for the Grand Rapids, Traverse City and Upper Peninsula communities. Grace also assists with processing various EBS HR personnel transactions and hiring support staff positions.

 Unit HR Services AssistantLily is the Unit HR Services Assistant for the College of Human Medicine at the East Lansing campus. Lily’s main responsibilities include handling clinical/adjunct appointments, processing payroll, temporary and student hiring, graduate assistantships and fellowships, as well as distributing keys and handling email communications. Lily is also assisting in the Mass Update process for CHM. While not working, Lily enjoys going for walks and spending time with family.
