Through campus involvement, workshops, and community outreach, our mission is to improve the health of LGBTQIA+ patient populations and to take steps to acknowledge and address the injustices that contribute to health disparities in marginalized communities, specifically Black, Indigenous, & People of Color (BIPOC) and trans folks. We believe it is important to center BIPOC and trans folks in the work of the organization because of the way that intersectionality impacts people who belong to multiple minority groups.

    College Based Leadership

Mission: The MSUCHM ROC chapter is centered around three pillars: education, service, and advocacy. ROC strives to foster a culturally conscious care community by educating the greater Grand Rapids and East Lansing community about the health disparities caused by the global migration crisis. Furthermore, we aspire to serve local families through a network of medical students and physicians by providing resources for the recently resettled. Lastly, we advocate for those who cannot do so themselves, helping to eliminate prejudice and create discussion amongst our community.
