Lansing
Established in 1966, the Lansing Campus is the founding campus for the College of Human Medicine. Approximately 200 of the college’s first- and second-year medical students receive their preclinical education in East Lansing among a diverse group of teaching faculty including MSU employed physicians and community medical professionals.
Approximately 26 third- and fourth-year medical students complete their clerkships at MSU Health Care, McLaren Healthcare Greater Lansing, University of Michigan-Sparrow, and other medical providers through the greater Lansing community. Students have access to a large selection of specialty and sub-specialty rotations.
As the nation’s pioneer in community-based medical education, the college’s roots run deep in Lansing and now span the state of Michigan through eight community campuses.
