Bio
Basil Abdo, MD, is the community assistant dean of the Southeast Michigan Campus and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine. He has twice received the Family Medicine Preceptor of the Year award in recognition of his passion for teaching and mentorship.
Dr. Abdo was born and raised in Southern California. He obtained his medical degree from University of Szeged and completed his residency in Family Medicine at St John Providence.
He is a scientific advisory board member of the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan. He is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and Michigan Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP).
