Spartan MDs across Michigan celebrate successful Match

March 20, 2026

Earlier today, fourth-year MSU College of Human Medicine students took part in Match Day, a nationwide event that marks the next step of the journey in medicine. The Class of 2026 gathered with family and friends to receive sealed envelopes containing the results of their residency match. At noon, those envelopes were opened to reveal the specialty and hospital where each student will continue their training this summer.

Match Day celebrations were held statewide at the College of Human Medicine’s eight campuses in communities the students have served during their last two years of medical school.
