Teddy Bear Health Fair in East Lansing Celebrates 20 years
July 1, 2026
This year marked the 20th anniversary of the Teddy Bear Health Fair in East Lansing, one of the college's longest-running community events. For two decades, the event has helped children feel more comfortable with healthcare through fun, hands-on experiences while giving our students a chance to connect with the community.
Keith English, MD, professor and chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, says that “this might be one of the most important things our college does. We’re proud of the many years we’ve been supporting the health and well-being of the children of Lansing. We think this event shows the community that we’re in this for the long run. We’re always going to be here.”
The next Teddy Bear Health Fairs will be held in Flint on August 15, and Grand Rapids on October 10.
