Dean Rayamajhi’s Weekly Rundown

February 27, 2026

Greetings As we flip the calendar to March this weekend, there’s a welcome sense that spring is finally within reach. For those who haven’t spent several winters in Michigan, a quick spoiler alert: winter isn’t quite finished with us yet. Still, soon enough trees will be budding, flowers blooming, and activity along the Red Cedar will turn from scurrying to lingering.

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, I hope we can all take time to reflect, express gratitude, and celebrate the successes of 2025. Our College of Human Medicine Annual Impact Report shines a spotlight on you, the challenges we’ve overcome together, and the advancements we continue to build on.

Whether your work takes place along the banks of the Red Cedar, the shores of Lake Superior, or closer to Dow or Frederik Meijer Gardens, Grand Traverse Bay, or Belle Isle, thank you for continuing to serve the people of Michigan.

In Spartan Spirit,

Supratik Rayamajhi, MD, FACP
Interim Dean, MSU College of Human Medicine
