Tetrad Awards Announced
March 6, 2024
The MSU Office of Research and Innovation has announced the awardees for the inaugural Tetrad interdisciplinary research funding program.
Good news! Of the 40 research awards, College of Human Medicine faculty are involved in 58% of the projects and represent about 28% of the total MSU faculty involved in these projects.
The Tetrad Initiative, launched in Fall 2023, was designed to foster new cross-unit and cross-college collaborations among faculty who have not worked together before, resulting in projects that create opportunities for extramural support of unique research programs. Researchers, at any rank, found collaborators from outside of their own unit to form a team of three investigators and completed the application process in January 2024.
The program received strong demand and due to the number of applications, a lottery system was used to select the awards.
College of Human Medicine faculty appointments are in bold text.
