Steven S. Chang, MD, FACS, is interim chair of the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and associate clinical professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He is the Peter D. and Julie F. Cummings Endowed Chair in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery and chair of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Henry Ford Health.
Chang obtained his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a fellowship in head and neck surgery with University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
At Henry Ford, Chang is director of the Center for Patient Reported Outcome Measures. He is an NCI-funded clinical researcher studying patient-centered outcomes focused on improving survival and quality of life for head and neck cancer patients. Chang is director of the Head and Neck Cancer Program at Henry Ford Cancer.
Chang is a fellow of the Triological Society, chair of the NRG Oncology Head and Neck Cancer Patient Reported Outcomes Committee, and a member of NRG Oncology Core committee, Society of University Otolaryngologists, and Association of Academic Departments of Otolaryngology.
