Bio

David A. Barondess, PhD, is the assistant dean for graduate studies. He is also a professor of epidemiology and biostatistics.

Before joining Michigan State University, Barondess held academic positions at University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine.

Barondess received a bachelor of science in human biology and biological anthropology and a bachelor of arts in English from Tulane University. He earned a master of science and PhD in biological anthropology from Michigan State University.

Current research interests for Barondess centered on the intersection of drug dependence and skeletal health epidemiology. More about his epidemiology research.
