Ramsey Named President and CEO of Scheurer Health
Michigan State University College of Human Medicine alumnus and primary care physician Ross Ramsey, MD ('09), has been named president and chief executive officer of Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital located in Pigeon, Michigan.
For the past four years, Ramsey has served as vice president of quality and medical affairs at Scheurer Health, where he has been a practicing physician since 2012. He is a certified physician executive and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and is current president of the college's alumni board. Ramsey recently received the Department of Family Medicine Community Faculty of the Year award.
"I am excited to step into the role of president and CEO at Scheurer Health, and I will work each day to ensure the area's leading health care organization continues serving the community's needs," Ramsey said.
Until he begins in the new role on December 1, 2022, Ramsey will continue to maintain a part-time practice alongside his administrative duties at Scheurer Primary Care - Elkton.
