How to Report Mistreatment


There are several procedures for reporting mistreatment:

  • Contact the Learning Environment Committee

    Executive Body

    The exeuctive body adjuticates any concerns that come into the Learning Environment Committee and directly responds to any concerns in real time. Members include the:

    Chair of the Learning Environment Committee

    Associate Dean of Community Academic Programs

    Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education

    Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs

    Contact the Chair of the LEC


    General Body

    The general body meets twice per semester to monitor and respond to trends. Members include all of the executive body and the:

    Assistant Dean for Clinical Experiences

    Assistant Dean for Student Success

    Assistant Dean for Administration

    Student Resolution Advocate

    Assistant Dean for Student Wellness and Engagement

    Senior Associate Dean for Diversity or designee

    (2) Community faculty member

    M1 Student (East Lansing Campus)

    M2 Student (East Lansing Campus)

    M1 Student (Grand Rapids Campus)

    M2 Student (Grand Rapids Campus)

    One Student each from the campuses: Flint, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Midland Regional, Southeast, Traverse City, Upper Peninsula, Detroit

  • Report Online

    Complete the online reporting form.

    When you use the online reporting tool, you have the option of remaining anonymous.

All reports are reviewed by the Learning Environment Committee

Anonymity

When reporting via course, clerkships, or faculty evaluations and when reporting online, reporters have the option of remaining anonymous.

Confidentiality of students is always respected within the limits of the law and policy.
