  • Andre S. Bachmann, PhD, Department of Pediatrics & Human Development, received $3,379,727 from National Institutes of Health, NICHD, for “Leveraging Modulation of Polyamine Metabolism for Therapeutic Advantage in Genetic Disorders” to study animal models and patients with Bachmann-Bupp syndrome (February 2023 - January 2028).

  • Lee Anne Roman, PhD, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, received $367,190 from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund for "Addressing Disparities in Maternal Mortality and Severe Morbidity for Medicaid-insured Pregnant/Postpartum Individuals of Color: A Multilevel, Community-Clinical Intervention for Hypertension" (January 2023 - December 2024).
  • Bin Gu, PhD, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Biology, received an R37 award of $433,718 from the National Cancer Institute for Developing a Clinically-Relevant Genetically Engineered Mouse Model for NUT Carcinoma (January 2023 - December 2027).
  • Cara Poland, MD, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Biology, was awarded $200,000 from Michigan Public Health Institute for “Providing Technical Assistance To Michigan Communities for the State’s Opioid Settlement Funds” (January 2023 - September 2023).
  • Xiaopeng Li, PhD, Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, was awarded $30,000 from MSU Molecular Discovery Core for “Targeting ATP12A, a non-gastric proton pump alpha subunit, for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis treatment” (January 2023 - December 2023).
