Reasons to Contact
A College of Human Medicine student might contact the Student Resolution Advocate when they:
- Feel uncertain (or distressed) about an experience related to the College of Human Medicine and need to talk it through
- Desire to address a problem in an educational setting before it becomes a serious conflict
- Need help developing a strategy to resolve or mediate a College of Human Medicine-related dispute
- Have experienced mistreatment
- Have a problem or conflict involving the College of Human Medicine and are uncertain about proceeding
- Feel concerns are not being listened to within advised channels of resolution
- Desire help with analysis of their situation at the college
- Feel that they have been treated unfairly or insensitively by the College of Human Medicine or in the educational setting
- Have suggestions about how to improve the College of Human Medicine learning environment
College of Human Medicine faculty might contact the Student Resolution Advocate when they:
- Desire to avoid escalating a problem involving a student
- Have concerns about a student and feel unsure if or how to intervene
- Have concerns about an interaction with a student
