Friends,

Our mission is: Michigan State University College of Human Medicine is committed to educating exemplary physicians and scholars, discovering and disseminating new knowledge, and providing service at home and abroad. We enhance our communities by providing outstanding primary and specialty care, promoting the dignity and inclusion of all people, and responding to the needs of the medically underserved.

The vicissitudes of election cycles do not change our focus or dedication to the people we serve. The more things change, the more they stay the same. This week may represent change, or it may be back to the same, but the need for the talent and hard work of the people of the college persists. You know our work together. We educate the workforce that provides health care and public health for the people of Michigan and beyond, including premier programs preparing our learners to work with underserved rural, urban, and minoritized populations. Our scientists discover and bring to use new information and cures, and they shrewdly repurpose old cures and discovery for new uses. Our scholars design and advocate for programs and policies that help provide safer, more wholesome, and more sanative communities for all. Our talent and effort provide life expanding opportunity through new skills, new knowledge, new programs, new companies, and new jobs in the communities of Michigan. So has it been, and so shall it be.

Serving the people with you,

Aron
