Bio

Supratik Rayamajhi, MD, FACP, was appointed interim dean of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, October 1, 2025. He is a professor of medicine and serves as associate dean for clinical affairs. 

In his previous roles, Dr. Rayamajhi served as clerkship director, program director, and vice chair for education of the MSU Internal Medicine Residency. He was interim chair for the Department of Medicine and senior vice chair of clinical strategy. In 2023, he was appointed associate dean for clinical affairs, focused on collaboration with administrators, hospital leaders, and practices across the state to improve the financial sustainability of medical education.  

Dr. Rayamajhi received his medical degree from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and graduated from the Michigan State University Internal Medicine Residency Program. He is a board-certified internist specializing in clinical hypertension. Dr. Rayamajhi is a coinvestigator on several federal grants with a focus on hypertension and chronotherapy. He is the lead author of a book on cancer-associated thrombosis and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications. 

Among his accolades, Dr. Rayamajhi is the recipient of the college’s Outstanding Faculty Award, the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Physicians Raymond Murray Governor’s Award, and the Rose Award for outstanding service in graduate medical education. He is a member of the Gamma Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
