Mindfulness

Breathe in. Breathe Out.

If you have been paying any attention to the many suggested coping strategies for stressful times, burnout, parenting, anxiety etc., you will have come across the word mindfulness. A popular definition was originally coined by Jon Kabat Zinn who created the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course at University of Massachusetts Medical School in the 1970s. He defined it as paying attention, with intention and without judgment.

Mindfulness is one of those things that is perhaps better understood experientially rather than by defining it or reading about it. Tune into one of these 15-minute sessions from College of Human Medicine wellness experts.
