Awards & Appointments

  • Anna Moore, PhD, professor and Director of the Precision Health Program, was selected for the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine Program. The prestigious Hedwig van Ameringen  Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® (ELAM) Program for Women at Drexel University College of Medicine is the only program in North America dedicated to preparing women for senior leadership roles in schools of medicine, dentistry, public health and pharmacy.
  • Michael D Brown, MD, MSc, has been appointed as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Cochrane Evidence Synthesis and Methods, a new open access journal that plans to launch in January 2023.
  • The Division of Public Health's "Flint Proud: Partners for Change" video received Honorable Mention at the Ragan Communications 2022 CSR & Diversity Awards. The awards recognize work that positively impacts the community. The project team was Public Health Communicator Jill Vondrasek, Advancement Communicator Sarah Enlow, and Kevin Epling and Greg Kohuth from University Communications.
  • Ved Gossain, MD, emeritus Swartz Professor of Medicine and former Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, recently published a memoir “My Journey Through the United States - 8 Dollars and No Dream.”

In Memoriam

  • Linda Meeks, a professional aid with the College of Human Medicine, passed away on July 10. Meeks started working at MSU in 2010.
