Jennie Knight, she/her pronouns, has been part of the LGBTQIA+ community for more than 35 years, and part of the Grand Rapids community for 30. Jennie has over 20 years in health care leadership, including leadership with FQHCs and large health systems. Jennie is passionate about making Grand Rapids a safe, affirming, and wonderful place for all to live, work and visit. Jennie currently is a practice manager for Catherine’s Health Center. 

Jay Knight, they/them pronouns, has worked in healthcare for more than 18 years, including teaching nursing students since 2015. Jay is a doctoral prepared nurse with a master’s degree in informatics. Jay has been part of the LGBTQ+ community for over 20 years and is also passionate about making Grand Rapids safe and affirming for all. Jay currently is a professor of nursing at Grand Valley State University College of Nursing.
