Awards & Appointments
- Kent Key, PhD, MPH, assistant professor in the Division of Public Health, was elected as Chair for the Genesee County Diversity Equity and Inclusion Commission.
- Caryl Sortwell, PhD, professor in the Department of Translational Neuroscience, has been named the recipient of the Edwin A. Brophy Chair in Central Nervous System Disorders.
- Four newly-endowed College of Human Medicine faculty were recognized at a special university-wide investiture ceremony on September 14. The distinguished faculty honored were Irving Vega, PhD, Caryl Sortwell, PhD, Provost Teresa Woodruff, PhD, and Thomas O'Halloran, PhD.
- Ripla Arora, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, has been awarded the 2022 Jean P. Schultz Biomedical Research Endowment Fund.
