  • In an op-ed on NPR, Maji Hailemariam, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology, discusses overcoming wartime trauma.
  • Stacey Pylman, PhD, assistant professor in OMERAD, was a recipient of the 2022 M. Brownell Anderson Award from the AAMC Central Group on Educational Affairs.
  • The Grand Rapids African American Health Institute (GRAAHI) presented Wanda Lipscomb, PhD, senior associate dean for diversity, equity and inclusion, with an Equity Champion Award.
  • Andrea Wendling, MD, was appointed Interim Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
  • Arlynn Dailey joins the college as Community Engagement and Outreach Administrator. She will develop and implement external relations strategies in metro Detroit and work with community leaders, alumni, industry partners to promote the visibility and engagement of the college in Southeast Michigan.
