*How can I join the CHM Alumni Association?

Contact the CHM Office of Alumni Relations with your information and a check for the correct membership amount. Memberships are available at the following rates:

• Annual Single                    $45.00
• Annual Joint                      $55.00
• Lifetime Single                   $700.00
• Lifetime Joint                     $750.00
• Lifetime Single Senior       $400.00   (65 and older)
• Lifetime Joint Senior         $450.00   (65 and older) 
   

*What does the CHM Alumni Association do for students and alumni?

The Alumni Association supports student and alumni related activities including the following:

• The Alumni Reunion
• The White Coat Ceremony
• The Graduation Class Celebration
• The Welcome Our Wonderful Graduates (WOW) program

 

These activities offer opportunities to socialize and network with alumni, students, faculty and staff. The WOW program specifically matches alumni with new graduates who are coming to their area of the country to begin residencies.

 

The Association also offers funding opportunities for student events through the Student Medical Education Enrichment Fund (SMEEF). Event expenses up to $2,000.00 may be covered by the Association.

 

Other benefits of Alumni Association membership include the following:

*Can you help me get in touch with a fellow alumnus?

For privacy reasons, the College of Human Medicine will not give out addresses and phone numbers of alumni. However, if you give us your contact information, we will pass it and a message along to the requested alumnus. Please be sure to send us your name, the name of the alumnus you are seeking, and your preferred contact information. We will send you a confirmation message once we have contacted the alumnus.

*What is the difference between the CHM Alumni Association and the MSU Alumni Association?

When you join the CHM Alumni Association specifically, that ensures that your dues will be used for CHM activities. Membership with us includes membership in the MSU Alumni Association and all associated benefits. If you join the MSU Alumni Association without specifying CHM as your constituency group, CHM will not get the benefit of your dues.

*How can I get more involved with the CHM Alumni Association?

One great way to get involved is by serving on the CHM Alumni Board, a group of medical alumni who meet twice a year. Another great way to get involved is by enrolling in the WOW Program or attending one of our upcoming events.
